I ordered the medium because I was planning on using it for two cats (kittens right now). The quality looks really good, it's easy to carry (not cumbersome like a hard carrier), and I really like the design. Depending on how big they grow, I may only use it for one at a time, but for now it works for both. After getting it, I put both kittens in it and zipped it up. I picked it up and set it down a couple times to get them (and me) used to it. Then I just set it down and talked to them while they were in it for a minute or two. After I opened the top flap, they both stayed in it for several seconds before getting out, so it seemed they didn't mind it too much. Then I left it with the top open in the floor to get them used to it. One of the kittens has even taking to climbing in and laying in it once in a while because it seems to be comfortable.Since then, I've used it a few times to take them places and they both seem pretty comfortable while we are driving to where we're going. It's also been comfortable for me to carry them in and makes things much easier for all of us. If they ever do get too big to both fit comfortably in this one, I will definitely order another one just like it!The design is nice. Would prefer a wider (deeper) shelf for large hats.First, who in their right mind would use drywall anchors to mount a coat rack and shelf this long?First, who in their right mind would use drywall anchors to mount a coat rack and shelf this long? Its length and location of mounting holes should be on a 16" module to match typical stud spacing. The 3 mounting holes should have been on 16" center for fastening directly to the studs.arrived in excellent condition and is a beautiful shelf, however, the top shelf is not solid but rather has two spaces between the two slats. I was not aware that the shelf was not solid so I was not too happy. But over all it is a very solid piece of oak w/wonderful brass hooks. May have to alter the shelf with something on top to prevent items falling into the slat(s). Gale W. PellegrinoI received the 5 hook coat and hat rack in very good condition and was very pleased with the quality. However, the hardware that came with it was not sufficient. The screws were too short and the wall anchors did not spread as they were suppose to. Instead they twisted in the wallboard. As a friend said, any hardware you receive with an item should just be thrown in the trash. Longer screws and more substantial wall anchors worked and it's beautiful on my wall. This thing is perfect for my space in the back entry way. Exactly right for easy coat, scarf, hat, and glove storage right by the door. Coats don't fall off the hooks when brushes, as sometimes happens with pegs. It's especially great for allowing wet coats, etc, to dry. You can hang coats and scarves without overlap (as long as there aren't too many), and the open shelf above allows circulations for the hats and gloves laid out on it. Sturdy. Attractive design. Doesn't take up floor space like a coat tree.Overall a good product. I didn't realize that the top shelf was two 1in. Wide board's about an inch and a half apart from each other. I thought it was solid, so I could put keys ect. ThereNice shelf unit. Easy to hang. Hardware could use improvement. They only sent 2 screws, 2 mollies and 2 wood plugs. Trip to Lowe's and it's up! Looks great! This item does not look nearly as good in the picture as it does in real life, and that is a very nice surprise.Look at the actual dimensions and this is a very large coat rack, which is what I needed.Beware however that the mounting hardware is very cheap. I would recommend not using it, just go spend three dollars on three mounts.I am giving it five stars, even with the cheap mounting hardware, cause it is definitely worth the price. Wood is nicely finished, mounting screw plugs are included to cover up the mounts, and it is very durable.Very nice product, just what I was looking for
